Bendix drive is a type of overrunning clutch, so you can call it either if you want.

That means the bendix is good. Don't try to hold it while powering the starter as it can rip your fingers off.


What I see in the video is you turning the key momentarily, and letting it back to soon. What happens when you hold the key at START? Does is grind or spin? I heard no grinding in the video. Actually it was fairly quiet when the motor did turn over, and fairly quiet when the motor started, so it's hard to tell what is happening.
