Are you asking about the combustion temperature inside the cylinder? Or EGT (exhaust gas temperature)? * If it's completely stock, EGT should be under 1600F, under 1100F when cruising (not accelerating), and under 500F at idle * If the compression, cams, or boost has been changed, the temps will be different
EGTs from 1400-1600F is normal at wide-open-throttle and high load in a properly tuned engine. The exhaust will start glowing red
As you lean out the engine, the temps will drop. Hottest temps are around the stoich ratio. So they will also drop as you richen the engine
