Grinding the cam is done to change the profile. For example, the stock A12 profile is for maximum power at 6000 RPM. If you want a mild profile, they will regrind the cam to 5000 RPM or so. The form attached indicates a longer duration grind causing a slight lope and tuned for 6400 RPM use. If you replace the carburetor with a larger one it can take advantage of it, if you rev the engine higher it should make slightly more HP than the stock cam profile.
