I guess a big question is for your setup is?

Is it blow through or draw through?
what carb are you using?
are you using mechanical fuel pump?
have you changed the main jet and accelerator pump jet or drilled them out along with the float?
Do you have a raising fuel reg in place?

There are alot of variable's to consider if your not making boost or noticable boost until we know your setup?
