Yes, this words in the book,( perhaps at a local library you can find,) mentions these 432 notes in a section named"Recognizing some unusual Z cars". Apparently, it mentions all these facts because , as the book reads, US servicemen would bring back into the US their Z cars, with foreign specifications and the like, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) would grant exemptions from the regulations to these servicemen so that these cars could make it into the country legally. It adds, saying that some cars meet the japanesse specs, some meet the euro specs, some meet the Guamanian specs (Guam Island). I have been trying for a long time to "infiltrate" the japanesse auto culture, but it seems imposible. Every now and then something pops out, but I am sure there is a scene that exists that caters to all those fans. Once I got to see a 120Y counterpart, the Nissan Sunny excelent 1400, a 120Y (B210) with an L18 factory installed, not a transplant, the rear round taillamps, racy preped, and I sent in a letter, in english. The next day, as if this car was a national secret, that site and the car disappeared, well, someday I will travel myself and see what Japan has.
If you ever find that magazine, let me know the name, perhaps it can be traced.
