* For the rear main cap, use RTV sealant
* The paper gaskets are all that is needed (no sealant)
* Put the Crankshaft Seal in after assembling the crank & main caps, and checking the crank end play
* Welch Plugs and block breather pipe need zero sealant
* Any brand of assembly lube is OK. For a new cam & lifters be sure to use a product rated for camshaft
