Smaller inserts are not needed when fitting coilovers. Smaller diameter inserts are only needed when using 45mm struts. Shorter inserts are only needed if you shorten the strut tube

Small-diameter coilover springs will fit stock B310 or B110 struts, whether 45mm type or the larger 2" type. If you are fitting coilover adusting sleeves which are made for 2" tubes, they can be put on 45mm tubes with a simple spacer
