Maybe, but how are you going to lower the car? The usual methods are
* Fit shorter springs or * Lower the spring perch/cup/seat or * Fit smaller diameter tires
Most "coilover kits" includes adjustable lower spring seats. You turn the seat to raise or lower it. And yes, that affects the jounce & capture of the spring. Lower the seat too much and the spring can come off the seat when going over a dip (suspension droop). Same thing can occur with too short of a spring
But done carefully there is no problem. Don't try to lower it too far. Test it for safety before you drive it -- jack the car up by the body and let the wheel droop down, use a prybar to force the LCA & wheel down as far as it will go, and ensure the spring is still captive (not loose on the seat)
