I had the same problem so I decided to mount the strut tops on top of the tower using a machined top plate to clear the ridge and a bottom plate to reinforce/support on the under side.
This dropped the car about 30mm so I could lift the coilover adjustment up to clear the tyre without spacers
( allowing the tyre full clearance up into the wheel arch without scraping )
LOW IS GOOD
