Factory Service Manual discusses this. RHD shoppe manuals do not

Yes, they are adjustment shims, so the fluid doesn't back up. Unlike B210, B110 doesn't have an adjustable pushrod, so the master cylinder is moved via the shims. See Hydraulic Clucth Adjustment in our tech wiki
