Feral said his cast alloy H190 was just enough
for his race L series and Dave on Ozdat with a
beautifully restored road/track 260C L28 210hp
has no problem with his alloy setup however the
smaller H145/50/65 have very soft caps holding
the axle bearings, even my suzuki k6 660cc here
I rehoned/ringed recently has beefier main caps
as did the G13B & G16b (1720cc) I took you to
see your old exa at that workshop that time.
That van only made 112hp atw and 950kg yet had
an iron diff no bigger than a H150 like the
4wd kei trucks here which are all 660cc.

note: I edited the chart above as you can see there is
a great gap between 150mm to 165mm versions.

I never seen a cast iron H145 so must be that
those figures are for cast alloy units and surely
iron H150 on some late 1200 utes take more Lb. ft.
H145 100 vs 125 H150 but the alloy casting gets
weaker if you saw how flimsy the caps are with
no effort of reinforcement even on the H165 version.
I believe on more than 150lb ft for the alloy 165.

Cast Iron
I know of an adelaide daily, drag, track & drift
bluebird with sr20det with over 400lb ft that is
running a cast iron H190 with LSD with no issues.

Likely it wouldnt survive in a body over 1200kg
with such a mad driver but youll prob be 950kg
all done which is enough for H165 Iron unit.
225 lb ft is a really good figure for such a
lil unit, surely jap metallurgy at its best.
