bluebird series 2 and three or TRX disc over drum rear brakes are the way to go

basically grab yourself the axles with backing plate and the caliper and hub/disc

buy some new wheel bearings, swap the bluey setup onto your 1200 axles (requires 3tonne press so prob need to see engineer or some mechanic unless you know someone) then the handbrake will connect straight to the drums and a little bend (by hand) of your brake lines to suit the caliper position, screw that in and bleed brakes

this is a straight bolt up, no mods required at all, luckily my bro in law has a washing machine repair man next door and he has a press, we did my brothers car in a matter of maybe 2 or 3 hours, its that simple!!!

only prob is wreckers will charge a bit for all the peices so you need to find an "all you can carry" or maybe try to find a private wreck
