Yeah l've had the same trouble. There are two ways to handle this.
1. Dont tell them about the changes to your car that are easily changed over..ie wheels. This way you can just put the stockers back on before the accident inspection.

2. Go to an insurance company that allows all street legal modifications, and usually allow you to tell them how much its worth and your premium is adjusted accordingly.

If you are in Victoria, l'd try Unique, especially since you'd be rating 1???? They base your premium on your driving history as well as accident history.

My ute is valued at $4000 (third party only) and l pay $280 year. And they allow any street legal mods (incl eng certs)
