Errol answered your question already, there was a A14GX it came in the last of the RWD Sunnys. It was a Japanese market engine but many appeared in Aussie and NZ through the 80s and 90s in engine importers. They had the GX head and twin Hitachi SUs. Towards the end of the RWD Sunny run Nissan built some really different cars to sell them. I had a Sunny Californian ZX. Which was a 1500 5 speed hatchback with electric mirrors and sunroof. It had US spec bumpers with Tokico Shocks inside them to absorb the bumps !! The interior trim was a flash tan velour. Despite the big block A15 it was a slug in handling and speed because of it's weight. It also came with a 3.5:1 H145 diff which now helps my coupe cruise less noisily on the open road. I wrecked a GX310 coupe a few years back and found it had quite a healthy cam in it (270') from memory. They weren't a very popular car and sadly most have disappeared, much like the largely unloved 120Y.
