I'm toying with the idea of Z32 300ZX brakes for the coupe.

Reason being my rear calipers are very bulky and heavy, off early Silvia H165, look very similar to 280ZX? The problem is that with the car lowered 2" there is inadequate clearance between caliper and chassis rail. Dimlight you have this setup don't you? How do you get on? With the wider diff I used to run it was no prob but with the roadstar diff the calipers sit in closer and don't allow enough suspension movement. Originally I decided to rotate the caliper mount bracket on the axle housing by drilling new holes but it will be very tight for space, especially as I want to take out the lowering blocks and get the spring eyes reversed. A mate has a smashed up 300ZX and I had a quick squiz and measure up of the calipers and obviously they'll need a new bracket to mount them to the existing mount but they are much smaller, probably a lot lighter and definitely a lot newer. I'd have to run a hydraulic handbrake but I can't see that being a drama- I've wanted to do it anyway. Then I thought, might as well look at the fronts too. They've gotta be miles better than the Princess 4pots which I have now, don't you think? Same story, they'll need a bracket made up to fit them but that's not the end of the world. I'm hoping like hell I can get them to fit inside 13" wheels but at worst I've seen them in 14s.
So, (a) do you guys think it's worth giving it a crack (b) do you think it's overkill for a 700kg car (c) do you think it's more of a step back than forwards if I have to move up to 14" wheels (bearing in mind this is a club car not a road car) and (c) what do you think is a fair price to pay?
