I agree, and if I ever buy a pristine original I promise not to chop it.

Until then I am going to continue my quest to build a light, fast, 1200 that puts more modern cars to shame whilst not detracting from the classic beauty of the original.

One more modified 1200 on the road, is still one more 1200 on the road.
