hmmm, L series motors simply bolt into these things with a 180B x-member and a few other bits and pieces...just planting seeds...

you could probably get an L series motor and 5 spd for a similar price to the A15. The other stuff will be pretty cheap too - the wrecker won't believe you actually want this junk... dead easy (and cheap) to get some bhp out of them too.

Actually, I've still got the L20B motor out of my coupe before I got more serious about the hillclimbs and sprints. less than 3000km since full recondition (not just a rebuild), .040 pistons, 72 cam, twin Hitachi SU's, new clutch, all in excelent condition. Cheap to good home. Complete motor including dissy, starter, and alternator. I used the water pump off it though. I'm in brissy too - pm or email me if you're interested.
