I think it works out cheaper to bring it over from Japan than from NZ.

You could get it all arranged through someone like Geoff Risbey of Prestige Motorsports:

A friend of mine recently imported a GTS-T R33 landed, complied and australian registered for 12k. Apparently one of the cheapest Geoff has ever done.
