The 38DGAS is an excellent carb with synchronous shafts. They were stock carb on the V6 ford Capri in OZ.
They were a popular conversion for 2 litre Pinto engined escorts here as well.
DCOE gives greater flexibility in choice of choke and jet sizes though.
