My a15 was dynoed at 112 at the wheels with the 38mm mikunis bike carbs tuned length 4 into 1 ext. self ported head (my first one! from following a ford cleveland guide) and unknown cam and block from speedway car. I glazed the bores and warped the head with a leaking heater hose on a 40 degree day. I then put an a12 with another match ported head to the miks and sold it a guy from sydney. it was my first 1000 coupe on a small budget and after missing it I got hooked again on the small buggers as I couldnt find someone who could build reliable rotaries as they usually like volksies re use internals which last not far beyond the warranty period but give them the unfairly tags them as unreliable. The r100 bug was squashed by the rarely stolen or hard to find parts datsun brand. Still miss the power but not the cops, muffler joint and arrsewipe maztech.
