I hope like hell that Puke does'nt close...though it has been under a cloud for the last 15 years. The V8 Supercars have 2 confirmed rounds for NZ next year and Taupo Raceway is having some serious money thrown at it right now to snag the V8 North Island round. Ruapuna will probably get the other one. And to add further fuel to the rumour mill Wellington city council are working on getting the V8s back and reintroducing the Wellington Street Race on an altered track layout....time will tell I guess but it's really easy to close a track and bloody hard to start one.
