Easy Question here, I dont yet have the workshop manual I ordered to assist in helping me rebuild the front end of my ute so some of the simple things escape me.

On the front indicators the inboard side is orange and the outboard side is clear. Which part of the indicator is the blinking part ?? and what is the function of the other one then ?? Simple Q I know, but I dont have anything to compare it against.
