OK, here's some more information. I looked at this car Thursday evening.
I figure this is a good driver, but on the borderline for restoring to top condition (could be done if you want to fix the floor and rust, doesn't need a lot else).
I get the feeling this one could drive cross-country after only brake repairs.
Mechanical: Not bad, mainly needs brakes fixed. - Very complete including air cleaner - Seems to drive good (though I didn't drive it on the highway) - Engine seems excellent - Needs front brakes repaired and rears adjusted - Carb has a hesitation, but drives OK otherwise - tires good, but rub on the fenders due to wheel offset
Body: Over all, looks OK - rust in floor pan and trunk, as is common - rust in corners of fenders and other small spots here and there - rust bubbles along roofline, a little above the drip line. They may have treated as the car was repainted. - seller said the front and rear glass needs more sealer (small drip?) - one dent, in center of left door - one spot of the paint needs touchup (about palm size) - passenger door hinges perfect, closes tight - driver door only has a little wear
Interior - Instrument panel surround painted black - seats have been recovered with interesting fabric: I thought it look OK, back seat needs steam cleaning perhaps - has original floor mats - steering wheel bearing has some slop (as do many many 1200s) - Seats are swapped. Drivers seat doesn't come back upright (frame may be broken?)
Give Biggc2 a call if you are interested.
