datsik,the reason people use stanza struts is mostly availability,in my opinion(not humble,you notice((joking,please don't take offense))).a14 sunnys are rare,as they were only optional in wagons in the later years.however,japanese stanzas have the same brakes as a14 sunny's & they're a bit easier to find.another reason could be strut tube length,as the sunny struts are the longest by far.but it's mainly what you can get your hands on easily & cheaply.also,120y's have to be useful for something,other than sticking l20's in & being the ultimate sleeper.
