DVLDAT: RNU12 Bluebirds..the ugly ones that sold as Pintaras in Australia. In Japan they came in FWD and 4WD CA18DET (east-west config). The HNU12 Bluebird had the SR20DET, it's the same as the KA24 Bluebirds (inc. SSS) in Australia.

Then I Mig welded in the end pieces, just to be sure that it was strong enough. I double checked the towers with the engine hanging in the engine bay, before tacking them onto the crossmember. That way any differences in crossmember pressings can be taken up. I also have a jig that bolts onto the crossmember, and has the mount points from the CA18, works reliably. Check out the original link above. Some states won't have a hassle with you welding all of the sections together, without using a hydraulic press.
