What's up Datsun freaks?! Well, I took my second trip to Matsuoka Engineering this weekend....they only speak Japanese, but the young girl that works there speaks a little bit of English. The first visit wasn't easy, but this last one I think my Japanese got better and her English got better cause we didn't have hardly any problems understanding each other this time. I came back with a (used) GX rear spoiler, a nice (used) rear bumper, and a set of adjustable coil springs w/aluminum top hat. Last time I was there I got some of those stainless fender mounted mirrors (Sunny GX/Excellent?). The car is lookin good now...a lot different too, I really like it. I got to peek at a new fiberglass GX5 hood that they sell there too. It costs around 35,000 Yen, and it bolts right on. Only problem is getting it back home, I don't think it will fit in the back. I was thinking I'd drive there without my hood, then buy the GX one and put it on for the drive back. I guess they have a little experience with the B310 A series EFI setups, but they prefer to go with Webers/MSR carbs instead because you need aftermarket tuning ability to get anything out of those EFI's apparently, such as a Haltech, etc. They found out my 2 year old NISMO header cracked a weld at the flange, so they offered to repair it next time I have it off. They couldn't believe I fit 15" wheels on the 1200 without flares, they liked the tires/wheels a lot. Next time I go I'm going to try to get an adjustable caster/camber kit (25,000 yen), a Cusco strut bar (10,800), fender flares (20,000) and the fiberglass GX hood if I can afford it all. Maybe some new leaf springs for the back too, they have two sets; 4cm lower or 8cm lower. This stuff isn't really cheap, but where else can you get it?! I told them I have lots of "friends" that want to buy stuff from them too, so start saving! Max weight I can send is 70 lbs, and shipping isn't cheap for large items so keep that in mind! I'll try to get some newer pictures up, but until then.....later guys!
