Nissan did not use the H145 behind the A15, but they did use the H150. The H150 is strong enough.
The H150 is found behind B310 and US B210s, is is nearly a bolt in for a B110.
Yes, you can use the H145, but don't use it with the stock 1200 4-speed. First gear will send too much torque to the rear. I know -- I broke two H145s with my A15.
The B310 5-speed has a taller first gear and will work OK with the A15/H145 combo if you are easy on it.
The big advantage these have over the H165 ute diff is: the ute diff is comparatively HEAVY. For a lightweight 1200, keeping weight down is important. Don't use heavier parts than you need, is the usual racer motto. The H165 will also make the suspension rougher-riding due to increase in unsprung weight.
