Na.... lots of street legal CA18DET 1200's around in NSW....
You just need to speak to an engineer and make sure you do your homework on brakes suspension setup etc etc before you start.
Do a search on club member FRO (Gerry)
He is an automotive engineer and can give you heaps of hints and tips and help get a certificate on your car.
You can generally go for a 200cc increase without a certificate, which will take you to an A14.
