I think somewhere between 3/72 & 7/72 the bumpers were 'upgraded' to higher US crash standards. Don't know about coupes but......I have a sedan of each style and the front has different brackets and bumpers. The 3/72 has a 'single' arm bracket on each side and a one piece bumper w/ small rubbers. The 7/72 has a 'dual' arm bracket on each side and a two piece bumper(split in middle) and HUGE rubbers......Looks like either one would work, as long as the bumper & brackets are a matched set.........The rears are also different. The 3/72 has simple 'c' shaped brackets and a license plate light in middle/top and small rubbers. The 7/72 has an added plate to the right side of the 'c' bracket , does not have a light and has HUGE rubbers. Also inside the trunk, the 'receiver' is beefed up on the 7/72. I know you don't want all this info Leosnake, but it might help someone else. There was a coupe for sale (100$) in Grass Valley, CA this spring, look back in the classifieds here. Might sell parts???
