For a regular Passenger Vehicle, that's a big NO.

The weight is based on the RTA's weight for the vehicle, not the modified weight. Unless you are doing an ICV (Individually Constructed Vehicle). The RTA's weight for 1200s were determined when the car's were originally complianced back in the 70s.

Maybe this explains why there aren't many FJ20's in 1200s. I don't think they fit without a custom intake plenum. Plus they are 40kgs heavier than a CA18DET.

Queensland is different..they can use lead ballast to bring it up to legal.
