I keep seeing the word "bellhousing" yet i have not seen any of these boxes with a detachable bellhousing. All i have seen is transmission cases with integral bellhousings.
Are we calling these transmission cases by the name that applies to just the front part of it? [The bellhousing]

Feral
Just to make sure i get it right. I take a stumpy Skyline gearbox assembly, & remove everything from the trans case. I pitch the case into the "storage container"

I take a series 3 Bluebird trans & do the same thing, except i keep the case & "store" the rest.

I fit all the stumpy internals into the later case to make a short 5 speed that will better fit into a 1200 or 1000 car by placing the gear lever in, or near to, the original shifter hole.

All these parts fit together perfectly.[?]

So far so good?
Chris
