Hi all.

this question goes out to all of you that have 40 sidedraft webers on your datsuns.

A buddy of mine has a A14 utility that he wants to perc up a bit.
He got hold of a GX head completely stock and also can get now a pair of 40 sidedraft webers.
I told him that I will ask on the website first before he continues to buy them.
Lets put it this way.
All the work he is going to do at a respectable workshop as he does not know much about engines and stuff.
My questions is: How much trouble are sidedraft webers.
Here at our local dragracing alot of people are using these carbs with alot of backfiring and missing and bonnets constantly open to fiddle with the carbs or something.
This includes a A15 nissan and a 1600cc ford escort.
My buddy does'nt want to put them on and then constantly needs to fiddle with them as this is the idea I got from sidedraft webers.Meaning " Your hands will always be dirty".
Is it really a pain or can you tune them on a dyno and not worry much about them like SU's.

Thanks.
