I'M PLANNING TO OVERHAUL THE ENGINE ON MY 1200 GX (A12) I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THIS ENGINE PERFORM AS STRONG AS POSSIBLE.DONT WANT A BIGGER ENGINE JUST A WELL TUNED 1200 , I ALSO WANT TO RETAIN THE ORIGINAL SU CARB SETUP. I AM THINKING OF HAVING THE HEAD PROPERLY GASFLOWED, WITH EXTRACTORS TO SUIT WITH 2" FREEFLOW EXHAUST.AND I PRESUME A REASONABLE CAMSHAFT UPGRADE. MY QUESTIONS ARE: 1) - IS THIS SETUP OPTIMAL FOR MAXIMUM POWER . 2) - TO WHAT DEGREE SHOULD THE CAM BE CUT TO MAKE IT PERFORM WELL BUT STILL MAINTAIN ENOUGH LOW DOWN TORQUE TO DRIVE EASY. 3) - IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE WORTHWILE TO DO LIKE UPGRADING THE COIL ETC.
I REALLY DO APPRECIATE YOU GUYS COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS.
