Before you guys bit my head off and say look at the tech section, i just want one little thing cleared up. I've read on here many times saying that you can't get an engineer to pass an SR in a 1200. Well i spoke to an engineer yesterday and he gave me the formula to find out how big i can go. For a turbo charged engine its the weight of the vehicle X 2.5 and that gives you the biggest capacity. Now the GVM of a 76 1200 ute is 1315kg. Minus 500kg for the max load and you get a vehicle weight of 815kg. So 815 X 2.5 = 2037.5 meaning i can go up to a 2037.5cc engine i.e. An SR is legal. Now my question is, is there anything else stopping me from engineering an SR into my 1200.
