Hey all, a few might remember a while back i was wondering why my ute was always running out of fuel... we concluded that the EFI pump i had wasn't designed for this application or something and that was that.
since then i have been waiting (for over 1 month now) for my holley blue electric fuel pump to show up from ebay. yesterday i plumbed it up and it seems i still have exactly the same problem. ute just runs out of fuel after a short drive. So today i went and checked to see what the regualtor was doing, thinking that it may be to blame, but unfotunately it works well (pressure increases as boost comes on), so i checked the supply line for pressure/volume... Turns out that the pump isn't hardly supplying any fuel at all. with the supply line off, turn pump on and fuel just sorta dribbles out, then stops all together (pump still going) then spurts a bit then stops then dribbles.... etc etc...
So then i thought "oh you must have a fuel filter around the wrong way" so i check, but its fine.
so the only possible thing i can think is that the fuel pickup from the tank is blocked or not big enough or to high or something...
anyone else shed some light?
