Just thought I'd report in about my weekend up at shepparton at the DECA driver training for the skylines Australia motorkhana. My car has been pretty competitive in the past finishing as high as 3rd outright so I thought I'd be even more competitive this time going back with a handbrake for the first time as well as a rollcage.

How wrong I was! As always I ended up in a massive rush at the end of last week getting everything ready in time to the point where I got the rollcage bolted in, tested the new hydraulic handbrake a couple of times and then set off.

Long story short, the first time I pulled the handbrake in anger I bent the mechanism I had rigged up rendering the handbrake useless for the rest of the day. With the rollcage and stiffer chassis, the swaybars were so far out of whack that I nearly rolled the car ON FLAT GROUND on the skidpan (see video)

Nonetheless it was still a blast and I ended up finishing 10th out of 50 outright and 4th 2wd which i was wrapped with in the end.
