Hey all,
Here is a quick update on the 1200 project.
-Finished welding all the Aluminium parts -Mounted all intake and exhaust manifolds etc -Mounted carb -Modified fuel tank and put in electric pump w/new 3/8" copper fuel lines -Installed FPR -Rewired engine bay -Made some super heavy duty power/ground cables
-Re-installed dash with oak insert and boost guage and tacho
Car fired up and ran almost instantly, sounds great, turbo spools and is louder than the engine at the higher RPMs.. and thats without an exhaust system yet.
Still need to plumb in intercooler and radiator, also need to get a rebuild kit for the carb as it is leaking. Need to also wire in my new guages and make my throttle cable work... then the engine side will be finished.
Years of storage has caused alot of the brake system to seize up so I need new rear wheel cylinders, and the master cylinders could use a rebuild.
After that is done, I need to finish the interior (mount the Silvia bucket seats that I bought) and carpet etc...
Then it will be back to bodywork to sand the primer and spray it finally... though I dont know when that will be, I want to get it going by next spring if at all possible.
Thanks for looking, I welcome your comments/suggestions
