Hi,
I'm going to try to explain my problem.
Upon installing my pressure plate/clutch fiber on the flywheel I noticed that the diaphram spring "fingers" were at first angled "out" of the pressure plate (when not installed obviously - no compression) but when tensined down with the clutch fibre between the flywheel and pressure plate the spring fingers went from pointing out to pointing in quite a bit.
So much that it looks like they only have 5mm travel before they hit the clutch fibre!?
So this begs the question - what is the A12 flywheel step height meant to be (distance the friction surface sticks out from the pressure plate bolt down surface).
Mine is 1.6mm is this too much? Did this cause too much preload on the diaphram spring?
What is the correct step height?
