I have a ute and I am upgrading fuel lines. I was wondering if the tank located in the side panel on the drivers side in the tray is a surge tank or just a tank that the fuel return lines feed to. I have traced both the return line and feed line from the engine bay. The return line goes straight to the bottom of the surge tank. The feed line comes from the surge tank, into the fuel tank then re-emerges and runs to the engine bay. I am fitting a fuel pump so where does it go? Between the main tank and the engine bay? Or can it go on the out let of the surge tank?
