G'day guys,
I have a '76 1200 Ute which is pretty much stock atm. I plan to pretty much rebuild it from the ground up with an LZ Combo engine. Just starting to piece it all together first and have decided to start with the suspension and brakes.
This is what I have planned for the front so far.
Standard 1200 Coupe Struts with 45mm Coilover sleeve kit. 200-225lb king springs (Suitable spring rate for street?). KYB MK1 golf inserts, S13 250mm vented discs, S13 Calipers. For good measure, adjustable Lower Control Arms, adjustable caster bars and camber tops, adjustable swaybar, New Radius Rods, New Ball Joints, new Steering Arms, new draglink, new inner & outer Tie Tods, all new bushes.
Now for the questions. You will have to excuse me if some of my questions seem a bit noobish, still learning. Just trying to get it right from the get go.
What is a suitable rear disc brake setup to compliment the front setup?
What is a suitable booster/master cylinder for this setup that fits without too much modification and address the following issues: Brake Warning Switch Dual outlet cylinder Brake Bias which I guess has a bit to do with the rear brake setup choice. Do I need Np or Proportioning Valve.
Your help and advice is much appreciated.
Cheers, Joe.
