As mentioned before, I started fitting a stock A12 engine and a 210 5-speed in a Bugeye Sprite many years ago. Life really got in the way and the car is now in the hands off a friend who lives in Canada. Because of clearance issues with the hood / bonnet, we started looking into using a single Dellorto DHLA 40H on the car. We are just now starting the process of acquiring the parts, so there is not too much to report on.

However, it is important to note that there are differences in the types of DHLA 40s that are available. The "jetting" information in the most helpful Tech Wiki might work for the earlier types carbies but might not work with the later "emission type" DHLAs, which is what we have. I'll keep track of the info we acquire, have some pictures taken as we progress, and give feedback on how things turned out.

But, don't hold your breath ... it will likely be a few months before all this gets done. My friend, who will be doing this, just fell on the ice and when he looked down his right foot was turned 180 degrees backward. He's gonna be able to rebuild and re-jet the carbie but probably will not be able to do the install until things heal up.

I'm hoping we can eventually make some sort of contribution to the Tech Wiki.
