Alternator for late a12 engine

Couple of questions:

1. I have a late model a12 from 120y, Mitsubishi type alternator. Can alternator be mounted on the left side with the early bracket and no modification? I checked wiki but I am not seeing info for late a12s.

2. When viewing starter motor from above , which terminal is positive or negative?
