This is out of topic, but still Datsun related and very interesting.
Reading through the book"complete Datsun guide" by Michael F Hollander,1980, in page 71 it says:(quote) Vehicles with"fairlady Z"on them have a 2.0 liter engine designated as the L20, It's a small six-cylinder engine designed for Japan.Vehicles designated "fairlady 240Z" have the 2.4 liter six.while those designated "fairladyZ 432"(rarest of all)have a 2.0 liter engine designed for high performance . The designation 432 refers to four valves per cylinder, 3 Mikuni/Solex carburators and two overhead cams. This vehicles are easily recognized by their tail lights as they zoom away from you on the road, and by the 432 designation in red on the rear decklid and side panels. From our research it appears there are less than a dozen of these cars in the US. Small wonder.According to the book "fairladyII", published in Japan, only 420 of these vehicles were ever built and most of those are in the home market. In fact, the japanesse Highway patrol uses these vehicles as pursuit patrol cars."
end of quote.
This is unknown to me, twin cam L series engines, what else is Japan hidding from us, seems in Japan , there is a treasure of engines. Perhaps they had a twin cam A series, overhead cam. Any body knows about these 432 "z" cars?
