I'd be very interested to hear what tyre sizes the chaps with racing 1200's with A series engines are using.
I had a race meeting yesterday at our local track Ruapuna and are rapidly coming to the conclusion that the Kumho 175x60x13's that I am using are simply not big enough for the job as there is just too much drifting and sliding going on for my liking.( the rears were new but I have never experienced them taking too long to bed in )
Whether or not its my overall suspension settings exacerbating things I don't know but something seems amiss...
My biggest problem is tat without pumping the rear guards thats the biggest size that I can get in there and we had to actually machine around 5mm out of the inner wheel to get the Kuhmo's to fit as they are wider that the Bridgestones and Dunlops that I have previously used.
Cheers
Dave
