I am very tempted to fit a tubo to my daily driver 310, (the trouble free reliability is getting boring. Apart from finding an apropriate turbo(cheap), it should be a piece of piss to build. My only query is where do I get the oil feed for the turbo from?.
If I teed off the oil pump would that run the risk of depriving the rest of the engine of precious oil pressure. What about the oil return line?

Any advise/sugestions wiil be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance

oil return from turbo ALWAYS goes to low pressure..i.e the sump.

You don't want oil sitting in the turbo housing for any period of time. It'll screw it quicker than anyone without viagra..(according to my spam email)..

As for the oil feed..the turbo will become the most important component in the engine. just remember to put enough oil in the engine after the turbo is fitted. The stock oil dipstick should tell you what's required.

So its ok to tee off the pump at the oil sender port , but should there be a restriction in the return line or do you use a small capillary to prevent too great adrop in oil supply to the rest of the motor. Im not sure how much oil the pressure the oil gallerys in the motor would get with such a substantial bleed off . (But I spose if some of you blokes have done it then it must work).

To feed my turbo I put a tee in to the oil pressure switch feed with the pressure switch going in one one side and the turbo feed going into the other side. The fitting going to the turbo is a male hose tail which i tapped a thread on the inside (5 or 6mm I think). I then drilled a hole through the center of a 5 or 6 mm bolt, which I cut to a length of about 10mm, and screwed that part into the center of the hose tail. The hole was about 1 or 1.5 mm.
On the drain side I drilled a hole into th e sump and put in a 45 deg fitting and some high temp ruuber hose to the turbo drain. This is about 12mm in diameter
I used braided stainless with a teflon liner for th oil feed and for the water lines. It's pricey but you won't end up with an oil fire.
