hey there,

I am not sure if we have a GX head/engine in our off road car, or more to the point havre not done any research on the GX. I was wondering if there is any easy ways to tell, eg
engine # that i should look for or some indication, as our 1200 goes a little quicker than a stock standard 1200, yet we have not done anything to the engine....

Pull off the intake and if the ports are oval - not round - it's a GX
head.

If the intake ports are oval on an A15, does that mean it's a GX aswell, or are there just heaps
of variation with A15's?

A while ago I had a twin SU'ed stock A14 with oval ports. Caused me some trouble in
getting an intake gasket.
