hey there, this is for anyone that knows or has put an A14 in a 1200 or ute, reason I'm asking is I have someone that wants to sell me a a14 but I dont know if its worth it.

Was there a significant increase in power?
Fuel economy?
Worth the money?

Don't pay more than $300 for an A14 in unknown condition. NO more than $600 in perfect working condition.

i would guess my "worked as" a12gx motor (i.e. big money spent on) would be about the same speed as my a15 thats only seen a "basic rebuild" including a cam, and i tell ya what for a road car the a15 is soooooooo much better to drive,

to get a14 style power out of an a12 is gonna cost a whole packet more than simply getting an a14, if you can afford to rebuild an a14 with a cam and stuff you'll be going one better again

You can't beat a few more cubes. An A15 is still a nice engine to drive day to day compared to some smaller modern cars, unless you have a + 300,000km old carb like mine..
