Just pay the money and buy some genuine Nissan ones. When you snap one in the block, will regret recycling old headbolts...

je.

this has happened to me lucky it left enuff to turn it round with a screw driver...i had to replace all the bolts as alot of the threads were stuffed...i think they were like a dollar each from the local bolts and fasteners joints....

cos the thread were stuffed and they were loose....one of tha things on tha rocker arm cracked and tappets went everywhere...ne ways thats all fixed...i ended up putting helli-coils in as the old threads were stuffed...

I am from South Africa and unfortunately cannot help you with the price.
What I can say is buy genuine Nissan head bolts as they are better quality.
One of my head bolts cracked and I blew head gasket. Replaced needed stuff and installed ONLY the one head bolt and reused the other.About 6 months passed and oil got into my radiator fluid.
Investigated and another head blot cracked.

Moral of the story. Don't reuse and buy genuine head bolts. This is a part of your engine where you cannot be cheap.

Guys, My head bolts says 12 ontop.
What does that mean as you said he must use that have a 13 ontop.
I have the GX head with the 10:1 compression.
Is it maybe that I have the deluxe headbolts?
Will they handle the 10:1 compression as I sometimes drive my Datsun hard.I do not want the head flying off due to compresion.

The A12 headbolts can take high compression. It's not the engine C/R that counts, it is the torque figure when you tighten the bolts. The A13 and A14 bolts have a higher torque figure.

If you overtighten the original A12 bolts, yeah they will weaken.

So it is fine to have the head bolts on with the number 12 on them.
Mine has been torqued to manual specs.
I do not want one to crack again due to poor quality or being not the right one's for my engine.

Yes, that's fine. Just make sure to use the right torque spec. They changed the bolts and the spec in mid-production.
Quote:
A12 (to engine number A12-470084) 33-36 ft lb (4.5-5.0 mkg)
A12 (newer) 40-43 ft lb (5.5-6.0 mkg)
