Oh yeah, forgot to share this with the club. I raced a 1993 RX-7 Turbo with a huge exhaust about 2 weeks ago (my car was still misfiring above 6000rpm). We were both at a stoplight, he
dropped his clutch a little and started peeling out, I just launched quickly without dropping. Anyways, off the line I left him 1-2 car lengths, and stayed ahead through 1st, 2nd, and part of
3rd gear (about 60mph), finally going that fast his turbos were really kicking in and he got about 1-2 car lengths ahead of me when it was time to slow down for the next light.

The other car I raced a week ago was a 87 300ZX Turbo 5 speed. He was behind me about 5 car lengths on a one lane road going about 45mph, I downshifted to 3rd and let her rip (up to only
about 6200 rpm though), I saw him slowly gaining a little in the mirror at first, but then he stopped gaining when my rpm's got higher :) Then something awesome happened....the road curved. I
kept her floored and took the curve no problem, and Mr. 300ZX had to let off, that's when we both knew I had the winning car. He followed me for a little while and when I pulled over he did
too. He was really interested in what I had and wanted to buy it from me on the spot. Of course I told him it's not for sale, and to rub it in just a little bit I told him how my car was not
running right and is usually faster. I love it when the underdog does better than expected :)
