i have a sedan with a mild 1400 in it and was just wondering if the stock box and diff can put up with a bit of a flogging

Should be ok.

You might blow the diff with some rough use. The gearbox will hold together if used correctly.

Start looking around for a 1200 Ute H165 Diff.
